Classy Lady, Sexy Lady is of Iron & Oak’s monthly ode to some of the classiest, sexiest ladies of yesterday and today. A gentleman rarely ogles a woman, but I think it’s fair to appreciate these ladies’ beauty as well as their accomplishments once in a while. Yes, some women are classier than others, but hey…who’s really keeping tabs? To kick off the first installment of Classy Lady, Sexy Lady, we had to go with Ms. Mila Kunis, the lead female role in Oz: The Great and Powerful, which debuts in theaters today.
As far as we’re concerned, Kunis is one of the hardest working actresses in Hollywood. Aside from acting, she’s set to produce a 1970’s feminist-themed TV series on the CW called Meridian Hills. She was the face of Christian Dior’s spring fashion campaign last year and was recently declared the face of Gemfields, naming her their global brand ambassador.
So…what makes Mila Kunis so classy? Away from work, Kunis doesn’t seem to be too keen on throwing herself at the press and strikes us as a relatively normal girl. According to an interview she did with her #1 UK fan, she loves Blue Moon, used to be a bartender and “can pour a pint without any foam”. She’s also been known to describe herself as a bit of a computer nerd.
Last year, Kunis graciously accepted an invite to the U.S. Marine Corps Ball with one of America’s own, displaying her own personal brand of patriotism. She was also voted #9 on FHM’s 100 Sexiest Women in the World last year, which prompted this classy response:
“You’ve got to base your career on something other than being FHM’s top 100 number one girl. Your looks are going to die out, and then what’s going to be left?”
Considering her modest life as a high-profile Hollywood actress, her dedication to America and her willingness to be more than just a pretty face, we’d say Mila is one hell of a classy lady. Plus, she’s starring as one of the original witches in the prequel to 1939’s The Wizard of Oz. It doesn’t get any classier than that.
